Sea-Doo Pwc Jet Ski Marine Audio Kicker Ks525 Custom 5 1/4" Black Speaker Pods
To say I was disappointed that the speakers included did not fit the pod is an understatement. And then the pod manufacturer tells me that they use a different brand of speaker that will not fit either. That's bad enough, but also the mounting bolts that are included are woefully inadequate and poorly located for weight of the speaker. I needed to fabricate backing plates both for the inside of my PWC and the inside of the speaker, and use 1/4" bolts instead of the #12's provided. I'm not sure yet, but I likely also will have to modify the speaker hole to fit the speaker. And unless you have some old POS ski, the finish on these will need painting to look good.So far, and I not done yet, I have almost $800 into this project, plus another $300 for a good paint job, plus $300 for the stereo shop to install the Bluetooth receiver. That and at least 40-50 hours so far trying to wring out the best way to install these. But then I'm fussy and want things done right. And I think when I'm done they will look and sound good. I would like to think that I have discovered all the issues and have plans to fix them, but.... I really wish that I had not started this project, or that I got an extra job flipping burgers so I could by a new boat.
