Ever notice all those reviews that are like "I just got this in the mail, looks nice, I'll update my review once I've tried it" and then they never do? Well, strap in, because this review is for a pair of these slippers that we bought 6 years ago, in 2015. After about a year of ignoring them, my husband discovered the joys of house slippers, and has been wearing them every day since. Since the apocalypse started last year and he's had to work from home, he's been wearing them pretty much whenever he's not asleep or in the shower. The soles have finally started to separate from the uppers and we've decided to buy exactly the same shoe, because why mess with perfection?I wanted another pair, but my kids picked out these. You know the story. But I really do like them. I just can't wear them in the evening, when I'm not interested in coffee.All the men's Halfinger wool-bottomed slippers are the same, it's just a matter of which style. This is my third pair, though I usually go for something plainer. They are comfy, soft, and stylish (except, perhaps if they have "coffee" written on the toes). They usually last 2 years before one busts out at the toe. I wear them until the soles and tops are flapping dangerously, perhaps 4 years.This year I wanted to try a rubber-bottomed pair, for durability and the ability to run outside with them. But nothing is as quiet as the wool-bottomed ones. You can sneak around at night in these beautifully without worrying about disturbing children with questionable fashion sense. And since they don't do well outside the house, they help me maintain appropriate social distance.This is my second pair of Haflinger Slippers. I love them.I actually "rip out" the foot bed and put in my own Custom Orthotic.Great product and reasonable price!Beautiful color and well-made but too expensive for my "fixed budget" (I'm retired), so I returned them. I don't even drink coffee!Loved themThe internal felt layer attached to the sole of the slipper came unglued less than 2 months after we purchased them. This is very disappointing considering the price. Not worth the purchase.Best slippers in the world. Boiled wool material makes it a great choice for people with sweaty feet.
